Their software is available in 16 languages, so non-English speakers will enjoy this aspect of the poker room. They are also very newbie friendly. They include a poker tutorial in their software. The vast majority of the games played are no-limit hold'em games. If you are interested in no-limit hold'em and/or want a software in a language besides English, it's worth giving this site a try. This site loses a few points for only offering Hold'em games.

RAKE: Rake is 4% up to a maximum of $3, as compared to the usual 5% up to a maximum of around $3-$5. The poker room doesn't take a rake on pots that are less than three times the big blind, on any hands that end before the flop ("no flop - no drop"), on un-called wagers, or on Fixed-Limit micro-stakes games such as 2¢/4¢ stakes. There is a two-seat-table rake cap of $1 per hand. Based on those exclusions, Everest Poker will take a flat 4% rake only on pots which are at least three times the big blind in real-money hands which have seen the flop.
